The Lake Elsinore Storm picked up a win at San Manuel Stadium, taking down the Inland Empire 66ers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Sam Bacon was a big reason why. Lake Elsinore reliever Raúl Román picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Micah Davidson took the loss. The win leaves Lake Elsinore with a record of 7-2.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Iván Ramírez came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Inland Empire pitcher Micah Davidson, he hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lake Elsinore on top, 5-4.

"Both teams played hard," said Lake Elsinore manager Chris Greene.
