The San Jose Giants got their 2025 season off and running with a win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The final score was 7-4. San Jose catcher Curt Davis, in particular, had a fine performance. Mike Thompson earned the win for San Jose. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Hal Powell earned the save for San Jose, his 1st of the year.
