Road Win Lifts St. Lucie to 1-0 Lead in R2
The St. Lucie Mets started the Round 2 in style, winning on the road against the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium by a score of 4-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Mets right-hander Chet Bass threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs.

St. Lucie second baseman Bob Norwood delivered in the clutch. With two men out in the top of the ninth, he banged a 2-run home run to help his team get the win.

Norwood said his team "played with determination."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland.
