Princeton Crafts 4-2 Win
|
The Danville Firebirds opened their 2025 season with a disappointing 4-2 loss to the Princeton Rays at American Legion Field. Catcher A.R. Clark was a big part of the win for Princeton. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tim O'Neill closed the door for Princeton, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Clark had a timely hit for Princeton in the top of the ninth. With Princeton trailing 2-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 4-2, Princeton.
"Whenever I help the team," said Clark, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
