Rays Take Tight Tangle
It took 10 innings, but the Tampa Bay Rays were able to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-8, at Tropicana Field. Ismael Ramírez provided some offensive muscle for Tampa Bay. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Tampa Bay reliever Josh Ingram picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Pantoja absorbed the loss. Pittsburgh is 2-5 after the defeat.

Ramírez delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the tenth to win it for Tampa Bay. In the contest, Ramírez went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.

"This place was electric at the end," Ramírez said.
