The Winston-Salem Dash have beaten the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and will advance to the Round 2.

Winston-Salem won the final game by a 11-4 count to take the series 3-1. The Dash triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of center fielder Vince Cleveland, who was named MVP of the series.

"The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Round 2," he said.

The Winston-Salem Dash don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lynchburg Hillcats - Frederick Keys series. Lynchburg leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
