Vázquez goes 3-for-4, Orioles Move to 2-1
A good performance from right fielder Esteban Vázquez helped the Baltimore Orioles defeat the Cleveland Guardians, 8-7. Vázquez was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Orioles. Randy Marte, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Baltimore goes to 2-1.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Vázquez delivered big-time for Baltimore, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Abel Haney. The game-changing hit put the Orioles on top, 8-5.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Vázquez, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
