Castro, Keys Wallop Hillcats in Game 4 of R1
|
The Frederick Keys and the Lynchburg Hillcats will take the Round 1 to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Keys beat the Hillcats, 10-1, at Harry Grove Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Frederick right fielder Tony Castro was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4.
In the bottom of the fourth, Frederick center fielder Jim O'Reilly had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, O'Reilly stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, Frederick. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Castro said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at Ed Smith Stadium in Lynchburg.
