Frederick Breaks Through for First Win in Round 1; Now Trails 2-1
Already down in the Round 1, the Frederick Keys put on their best show, beating the Lynchburg Hillcats by a final score of 11-8. Cris González was special. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Frederick now trails Lynchburg 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tony Castro in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jesús Ávila to win the game for Frederick. The home crowd went nuts.

In postgame remarks, Castro simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick.
