Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Haley and Rancho Cucamonga
|
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes started the Round 1 in style, downing the visiting Lancaster JetHawks at LoanMart Field by a score of 6-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Quakes right-hander Jamal Haley threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run.
Ken Goodman aided the Rancho Cucamonga cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Goodman.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at LoanMart Field in Rancho Cucamonga.
