McClain Surgical in Ogden Win
The Ogden Raptors got a marvelous performance from pitcher Ed McClain. The right-hander kept the Orem offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-1 Ogden victory at Lindquist Field. The triumph puts Ogden at 57-11 for the season.

McClain's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 12 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. McClain, who leads the PIO in quality starts with 10, goes to 10-2 on the year with 146 strikeouts.

Said losing manager Brian Duensing: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
