Guardians Clip Athletics, 3-2, in R2 Contest
|
The ACL Guardians are one game away from a sweep after beating the visiting ACL Athletics, 3-2, at Chain of Lakes Park. Guardians left-hander Quincy Hickman had a standout performance in which he threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. ACL now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 2.
Don Hoffman had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for ACL. He came through with a run-scoring triple to put ACL in front, 3-1.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said ACL manager Shawn Denton.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Saturday, September 5th , 2026.
