The Missoula Osprey had to overcome a fine effort from Helena pitcher Johnny Blackwell to win, 4-3, in 15 innings at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Blackwell went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winner in relief was Jake Lewis. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-4. The Osprey now have a record of 17-44.

The decisive blow was delivered by Stan White in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Phil Castillo to win the game for Missoula. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game had its share of tense moments," White said, postgame.
