Flores, Mustangs Too Much for Brewers
The Billings Mustangs defeated the Helena Brewers, 12-6, at Kindrick Legion Field. Billings was led by 25-year old second baseman Romeo Flores, who hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The win was credited to 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jon Osterhoudt in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Rubén Segura took the loss. The third-place Brewers have lost 7 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jon Rhodes came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Helena pitcher Virgil Ramírez, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Billings on top, 7-6.

"This was a nice win for us," said Flores. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
