The Orem Owlz beat the Helena Brewers, 3-1, at Kindrick Legion Field. Starting pitcher Chris Walsh was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The winning pitcher was Walsh, now 4-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Andy Richter earned the save for Orem, his 6th.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tim Coleman? The Orem center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Owlz on top, 3-1. For the game, Coleman had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Walsh attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
