The ACL Mariners defeated the ACL Angels, 10-1, at Peoria Sports Complex. ACL was led by 19-year old shortstop José Varerla, who went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Johnny Maes earned the win for ACL. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Freddie Fullerton recorded the save for ACL, his 1st of the season.
