Brewers Lose By a Run at ACL
ACL Giants starter Juan Bonilla turned in an exceptional performance against the ACL Brewers at Scottsdale Stadium, resulting in a ACL win, 1-0. The winning pitcher was Bonilla, now 1-0. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Steve St. John picked up the save, his 1st.

The Brewers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Giants going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old shortstop José Durango came to the plate. Durango hit a solo home run on a 1-2 fastball from ACL hurler Luis Sousa. It was Durango's 1st home run of the year.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Bonilla.

The loss puts ACL at 2-3.
