Both offenses were feeble at Kindrick Legion Field. Fortunately for the Helena Brewers, though, Ken Campos delivered in the clutch. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, to help his team topple the Billings Mustangs, 2-1. The winner was Helena reliever Phil Castillo, now 1-0. The loser was Jon Osterhoudt. With their winning streak at 4, the Brewers have raced to a strong start this season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Helena second baseman Rudy Lamb, facing Jon Osterhoudt, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Brewers the 2-1 win.
"This place was electric at the end," Campos said.
