The ACL Athletics firmly defeated the ACL Brewers, 15-2, at Maryvale Baseball Park. The ACL offense was lit. Ernesto García, for one, had a solid game. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Athletics. Zander Benton was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Key. The Athletics raised their record to 2-0.

With ACL leading 11-0 in the top of the ninth, García came up to bat against ACL pitcher Sergio Castro. García hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Athletics on top, 15-0.
