Palmer goes 3-for-4 to Fuel Mets Offense
Jay Palmer left his imprint on the 8-3 Binghamton win against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Palmer, who is tied for 5th in the EL in runs scored with 67, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. The third-place Mets now have a win-loss record of 72-68.

Danny Jones had a big bases-clearing double for the Mets in the bottom of the third inning. With Binghamton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from fireballing right-hander Andriu Martin and swatted a double to left. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 4-0.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Jones told the Binghamton Times.
