Flying Squirrels Send Akron Home with 5-4 Loss
The Richmond Flying Squirrels beat the Akron RubberDucks, 5-4, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Richmond left fielder Anastasio Sánchez had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The loss makes Akron 57-82.

Richmond took a 5-4 lead on António Lara's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Lara hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Akron pitcher Álex Icaza visibly frustrated.
