The Trenton Thunder defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 10-3, at Arm & Hammer Park. Leading the charge for Trenton was center fielder José Ríos. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Jorge López was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.

Early in the game, Ríos had a grand slam home run for Trenton. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Thunder on top, 4-0.
