Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Mets
The Binghamton Mets picked up a win at NYSEG Stadium, downing the Trenton Thunder, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Binghamton was left-hander Ed Harvey, who played a pivotal role in the win. Binghamton reliever Mitch Smith picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Rusty Thompson was tagged with the loss. Binghamton is now 62-68, while Trenton is 65-66.

The decisive blow was delivered by Alex Boyd in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Rusty Thompson to win the game for Binghamton. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place sure got loud," said Chris Tremie, the Binghamton manager.
