Starting pitcher Lindsey Caughel did his part in helping the New Hampshire Fisher Cats thwart the Trenton Thunder, 5-1. Caughel got the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Caughel allowed 1 run. Tommy Potter was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.

The game could have flipped with no one out in the top of the seventh. But Lindsey Caughel made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With a runner on 1st and Trenton trailing 3-1, Caughel threw a fastball to Rene Melendez and Melendez popped out.

The win elevated the Fisher Cats to 68-62.
