Rock Cats Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Mets, 3-2
The Binghamton Mets got a sterling performance from pitcher Jeremiah Wright, but the New Britain Rock Cats still prevailed, 3-2. Wright threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The win belongs to Stephen Johnson in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Miguelangel Bastidas took the loss for Binghamton. The triumph puts New Britain at 68-59 for the season.

One significant plate appearance for New Britain came with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning. Rock Cats pinch hitter Ted Hoskins hit a 2-run single, which helped his team go on to win.

After the game, New Britain manager Gary Kendall applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
