Binghamton Earn 4-3 Victory at FirstEnergy Stadium
|
A 3-RBI performance from António Quintero helped the Binghamton Mets beat the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-3. Binghamton reliever Luis Cordero was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-9. Giel Adriaens took the loss for Reading. Earning the save was Dave Hall. He's now cashed in 15 of 18 save opportunities.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the seventh, Quintero had a key at-bat for Binghamton. With a runner on 3rd, Quintero hit a run-scoring single off Giel Adriaens, making the score 4-3, Mets.
Binghamton manager Chris Tremie commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
The Mets, at 53-62, inhabit 5th place in the Northern Division.
