In a tight tilt between the Altoona Curve and the Erie SeaWolves, José Romo was the deciding factor. The Altoona left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Dan Conner picked up the win in relief for Altoona, while Jorge Domínguez took the loss. The loss makes Erie 58-44.

Altoona got a clutch hit from Djoka Uskokovic. The center fielder launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"We had a hellacious effort," said Curve manager David Ortiz. "We hung in there and hung in there."
