Rock Cats Lose to Thunder, 6-4
The Trenton Thunder stopped the New Britain Rock Cats, 6-4, behind an impressive performance from Randy Bowers. The 24-year old catcher made life miserable for New Britain pitching. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Trenton pitcher Juan Montalvo got the win, upping his record to 10-8. Greg Smith got the loss. Trenton goes to 51-44, New Britain to 52-43.

Trenton second baseman Esteban Guzmán contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 4-1.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Bowers.
