Hanna Helps Erie Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Erie SeaWolves defeated the Trenton Thunder, 12-3. Right Fielder Tyrone Hanna deserved a large share of the credit. Hanna went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the SeaWolves. Picking up the win was Ignacio Mendoza. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 11 hits. The left--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. The SeaWolves now have a record of 53-41 with the win over Trenton.

Hanna contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Erie in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Hanna took a splitter from Pat Todd and stroked the double to left-center. His 15th double of the season allowed the SeaWolves to leap in front, 4-3.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Erie skipper Brad Ausmus.
