Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Reading Fightin Phils and Altoona Curve.

The Reading Fightin Phils cut down the Altoona Curve by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Yairo Munoz. Munoz was 2-5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Fightin Phils. Reading reliever Bob Nelson was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Tim Gray.

In the top of the ninth inning, Reading got a key at-bat from Munoz. With two outs, a runner on 1st and the Fightin Phils trailing 4-3, Munoz hit a run-scoring double.
