The Portland Sea Dogs beat the Binghamton Mets, 5-1, at NYSEG Stadium. Portland second baseman Raúl Diharce had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Portland is now 43-47, Binghamton 43-47.

With Portland leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Diharce hit a fastball from Jesús Amezcha for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Sea Dogs ahead, 4-1.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Binghamton manager Chris Tremie. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
