Curve Get Close Win Over Senators, 3-2
|
The Altoona Curve, despite a fine performance by Harrisburg pitcher Jesús Mila, grabbed a 3-2 win at Metro Bank Park. Mila allowed 2 runs over 5.1 innings. Tim Gray recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 2 for 3. With the win over Harrisburg, the Curve improved to 39-49.
Daniel Morán delivered a big hit for Altoona. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Curve ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
Altoona manager David Ortiz praised his team's "energy."
