Trenton Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Flores
Trenton got a terrific game from third baseman Sergio Flores. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New Britain, 14-10. Flores went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Northern Division-leading Rock Cats have a record of 53-34.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sancho Vásquez delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the New Britain first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Rock Cats in front, 14-10.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said New Britain manager Gary Kendall.
