Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Reading Fightin Phils and Erie SeaWolves.

Reading beat Erie at FirstEnergy Stadium, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Johnathan Santos. He was 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Josh Davis picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 7-8.

With Reading leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Santos hit a curveball from Ignacio Mendoza for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Fightin Phils ahead, 4-0.

Santos called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
