The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Akron RubberDucks delighted fans at Canal Park.

The performance of Mike Sperring proved critical in helping Akron beat New Hampshire, 11-1. The RubberDucks center fielder was 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Akron goes to 33-46, New Hampshire to 44-37.

With Akron leading 7-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Sperring came up to bat against New Hampshire pitcher Ben Fuller. Sperring hit a changeup to center for a bases-clearing triple. His 3rd triple of the season put the RubberDucks on top, 10-1.

Said New Hampshire manager Mark Budzinski: "We ran into a buzz saw."
