The New Britain Rock Cats had to overcome a good performance from Trenton pitcher Curt Watson to claim a 3-1 win at Arm & Hammer Park. Watson went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The Rock Cats lead the Northern Division by 3 games.
New Britain needed the clutch hitting of Sancho Vásquez to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rock Cats on top, 3-1. For the game, Vásquez had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
