Fightin Phils Absorb 4-1 Home Loss
Altoona pitcher Tim Gray did his part in helping his team defeat the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Altoona is now 36-40, Reading 40-36.

Altoona used the timely hitting of Bret Goslin to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Curve on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Reading manager Shaun Larkin.
