The Reading Fightin Phils beat the Altoona Curve, 5-4, in 10 innings. Reading pitcher and Alamosa, Colorado, native Tony Smith led the way. The win gives Reading a season record of 40-35.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Reading. That's when Yairo Munoz hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Stan Martínez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"That game was intense," Munoz said.
