The Erie SeaWolves beat the Altoona Curve, 7-3, at People's Natural Gas Field. Erie first baseman Tyrone Hanna had the hot bat. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jesús Árias, now 7-4, was credited with the win in 3.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Erie, at 44-29, is 4½ games up in the Southern Division.

It could have been a different outcome for Erie, had it not been for Amilcar Uribe, the speedster . Uribe contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Erie up, 4-3.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Uribe told a Erie Daily reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
