The Altoona Curve got a superb performance from first baseman Bob Bishop, but the Portland Sea Dogs still won the game, 6-5. Bishop was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Today's win puts Portland at 33-38, while Altoona falls to 34-37.

It could have been a different outcome for Portland, had it not been for Víctor Boieiro, the 23-year old shortstop . Boieiro contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Portland up, 4-1.

In postgame comments to the Portland Bulletin, Boieiro said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
