Rock Cats Use Late-Game Magic to Beat SeaWolves, 8-5
Mike Bane, who is tied for 4th in the EL in RBI with 40, knocked in 4 runs to help the New Britain Rock Cats win, 8-5, over the Erie SeaWolves. Mario Molina came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-4. Dave Francisco, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.

New Britain took the lead, 7-5, on Gil Greggio's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Erie pitcher Norm Strickland in the bottom of the eighth.

"I like to lead by example," said Greggio. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."

New Britain now sits at 43-27, while Erie falls to 42-28.
