Bowie Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Clark
The home crowd had a good time watching the Bowie Baysox and Trenton Thunder get after it.

Wally Clark had a good game, but he could not keep the Bowie Baysox from falling, 9-6, to the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park. The Bowie left fielder went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once in the loss. Jorge Benítez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

Trenton catcher Luis Torrens helped the Thunder go up, 7-5, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Torrens hit a 2-run single off Bowie pitcher Jon Smith.

Torrens told a Trenton Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Trenton is now 41-27, while Bowie is 30-37.
