Altoona 7-2 Losers to Rock Cats
The New Britain Rock Cats topped the Altoona Curve, 7-2, in Eastern League action at People's Natural Gas Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of New Britain pitcher Ron Barr. With the victory, the Rock Cats upped their record to 39-25.

The Rock Cats got a big at-bat from right fielder Tim Stevenson. For the game, Stevenson went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave New Britain a 2-0 lead.

Stevenson called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
