Though he had a terrific game, Dany Rojas could not prevent his team, the Trenton Thunder, from absorbing a loss. Akron won the game, 7-6. Rojas was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. The Akron winning streak has reached 3 games.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Jesús Castro came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Trenton pitcher Ben Sheffield, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Akron on top, 7-6.
