Morán Helps Altoona Cruise to 13-3 Win
The Altoona Curve powered past the Binghamton Mets, 13-3, at NYSEG Stadium. Daniel Morán went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4, to lead the charge. After today's action, Altoona sits at 29-30; Binghamton slips to 24-36.

Jesús Gutiérrez had a big run-scoring double for the Curve in the top of the third inning. With Altoona leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Walt Wallis, who is tied for 2nd in the EL with a 10.3 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Curve ahead, 2-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Gutiérrez after the game.
