Bowie and Trenton duked it out and the Baysox came out victorious.
Despite a great performance by Trenton center fielder Stan Roberts, the Bowie Baysox defeated the Thunder by the score of 8-7 at Arm & Hammer Park. Roberts was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. By defeating Trenton, the 5th-place Baysox improved to 22-37.
Bowie catcher Joey Bennett contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Baysox ahead, 3-0.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Trenton skipper Eric Owens said.
