Flying Squirrels Need Extra Frames to Get Past Senators
The Richmond Flying Squirrels picked up a win at Metro Bank Park, knocking off the Harrisburg Senators, 4-2. On the mound for Richmond was right-hander Mike Thompson. He played a key role in the triumph. The win was credited to Hal Powell in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Colm Tucker took the loss. The loss drops Harrisburg to 2-6.

Orlando López had a direct impact on the outcome. López contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Richmond up, 3-2.

"We did a lot of things right," said López.
