Eric Barr, who is tied for 2nd in the EL in strikeouts with 83, propelled his team to victory over the Harrisburg Senators. The final score was 6-5, Bowie. Bowie pitcher Del Klein earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Aurelio Flores suffered the loss. P.J. Jackson earned the save for Bowie, his 7th.

Ron Stover went 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2 times for Bowie. The 27-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aurelio Flores. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

"Eric was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Bowie manager Jack McDowell.
