The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Jerry Uht Park.

The Bowie Baysox got a sterling performance from pitcher Elvis Casey, but the Erie SeaWolves still prevailed, 4-2. Casey threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Jesús Árias earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 5-3.

Erie got a clutch hit from Manny Camacho. The catcher launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"The crowd lost its ever-loving mind today," said a grinning Camacho.

Erie is now 37-20, 7½ games up in the Southern Division.
