Jorge López never let Binghamton get something going. The Trenton right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Thunder to a 5-1 win. López yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-6. The win for the Thunder lifted their record to 34-23.

Juan Juanola had a big 2-run double for the Thunder in the bottom of the second inning. With Trenton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Kel Turner and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunder ahead, 3-0.
